Chica (Córdoba)

Female
7-10 years old

Update fosterfamily February 18, 2010

Chica is a very easy dog. She is very sociable with other dogs and people. She loves to play, doesn't bark or squeal, she can spend some time alone and doesn't destroy anything. She is also housetrained.

She is a very grateful dog and asks for so little, a nice cuddle and a nice pillow to lie on makes her very happy. She loves to go outside. In spite of the few teeth she has left eating is no problem at all, we mix her food with a little hot water to soften it and she really enjoys eating. She is absolutely not dominant; not even during feedingtime. She is a real darling and also loves to drive in a car. She lies her down quietly and causes no problems.

Chica was saved from a very bad place of a private person where she lived together with 17 dogs outside on a field. The dogs had absolutely no medical care and Chica had some tumours that urgently needed surgery. She also had very serious skin problems and bald spots because of the bad food she received. With financial support of several people Chica could receive the surgery she needed and in the private surroundings where she recuperated she became a healthy dog again. She has not many teeth left and needs soft food, but for the rest she behaves more like a young dog than an elderly lady. Therefore it is so hard to determine her age.

In the beginning she was quite nervous, but now she is a quiet dog. She is housetrained and enjoys cuddles but also loves to play with other dogs. She had no problems with male and female dogs.

Chica was tested negative on Leishmania, Filaria and Ehrlichia, the bald spots have disappeared and were probably due to a shortage of necessary vitamins and minerals.

She is a really sweet dog and the moment you see her, you fall in love with her.

Chica deserves so much to finally find her own family with much love and attention after all the bad years she has been put through. She is a very grateful dog who needs only a quiet home with loving people who love to pamper her. Maybe you???

Chica has not been sterilized.
