He is a crossbreed and
weighs about 27 kilo, so
he is a big dog and he
has been castrated. The
poor animal has spent
his whole life in a cold
shelter where in the
winter it was terribly
cold and scorching hot
in the summer.
For 6 long years he has
spent his life encaged
in a small kennel.
He only got a bit of
warmth and attention
during the weekend when
some volunteers happened
to be there.
In spite of that Yaqui
is a fantastic dog, kind
and social to all people
and he behaves himself
very well when he is
with other dogs, male or
female.
Only when he is eating
you have to be careful
that he doesn't eat the
food of other dogs as
well.
He loves to take long
walks, he can carry
on for hours and you
wouldn't think he is 8
years old, he acts more
like a 2 year old dog.
His passion is to chase
birds and in doing so he
can develop an
unbelievable speed.
There is no reason he
cannot live with a
family with children and
other animals.
But he would like very
much to live with
somebody who is prepared
to take him out for long
walks and who gives him
all the love he had to
do without for all his
life until now. His
expressive eyes will
show you eternal
gratitude.
